In today's blog we meet the lovely Sue who runs the box office here at Penang Performing Arts Centre.

So Sue, have you always worked in Penang Theatres?

Yes, I really enjoy working in theatres and not just in the box office! I've worked back stage, as a wardrobe assistant and even on stage as an actor!

What do you like most about being on stage?

I really like cheering up an audience and making them smile. The last show I performed in was dance but I have done film and television too.

What is your favourite children's story Sue?

Little Red Riding Hood was always my favourite. I like the wolf!

Do you think the children here will enjoy Plop's story?

Definitely! I think they will especially love the puppets. Plop is so cute! I'll be watching the show too, it'll be the first piece of children's theatre that I've seen here.

What things do you think we should do whilst we're here in Penang?

Eat, eat and eat! The food is fantastic! Especially nutmeg candy. You have to try it!

One last question...Are you afraid of the dark?

No, not usually. Although I did get stuck in a lift once and that was scary. I agree with Plop, Dark is super! As an actor dark is also exciting because it means you are about to perform.
